Katerina Dvorak, PhD, is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and
Anatomy at the College of Medicine of the University of Arizona and a Research Scientist at the
Southern Arizona Veterans Affair Health Care System. She is a member of the American
Association for Cancer Research, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the World
Organization on Specialized Studies of Diseases of Esophagus (OESO). Dr Dvorak studies the role
of bile acids and gastric acid in Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma. She has
published in the areas of cancer prevention, colon carcinogenesis, and Barrett’s esophagus.
